Investing.com – Portugal stocks were higher after the close on Tuesday, as gains in the , and sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Lisbon, the gained 0.32%.
The best performers of the session on the were Altri SGPS SA (ELI:), which rose 1.25% or 0.07 points to trade at 5.28 at the close. Meanwhile, Jeronimo Martins SGPS SA (ELI:) added 1.22% or 0.22 points to end at 18.30 and Mota Engil SGPS SA (ELI:) was up 1.22% or 0.03 points to 2.82 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Corticeira Amorim (ELI:), which fell 1.00% or 0.08 points to trade at 7.92 at the close. Ren Redes Energeticas Nacionais SGPS SA (ELI:) declined 0.67% or 0.02 points to end at 2.24 and EDP Energias de Portugal SA (ELI:) was down 0.51% or 0.02 points to 3.11.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Lisbon Stock Exchange by 17 to 7 and 2 ended unchanged.
Shares in Corticeira Amorim (ELI:) fell to 3-years lows; losing 1.00% or 0.08 to 7.92.
Brent oil for March delivery was up 1.22% or 0.88 to $73.20 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in February rose 1.37% or 0.95 to hit $70.19 a barrel, while the February Gold Futures contract rose 0.13% or 3.40 to trade at $2,631.60 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.13% to 1.04, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.05% to 0.83.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.18% at 108.00.
