Investing.com – France stocks were lower after the close on Friday, as losses in the , and sectors led shares lower.

At the close in Paris, the fell 1.51%, while the index fell 1.45%.

The best performers of the session on the were Engie SA (EPA:), which rose 0.61% or 0.10 points to trade at 15.62 at the close. Meanwhile, TotalEnergies SE (EPA:) added 0.50% or 0.27 points to end at 54.00 and Unibail-Rodamco-Westfield SE (EPA:) was up 0.30% or 0.22 points to 73.74 in late trade.

The worst performers of the session were Kering SA (EPA:), which fell 4.88% or 11.50 points to trade at 224.35 at the close. ArcelorMittal SA (AS:) declined 4.66% or 1.05 points to end at 21.46 and LVMH Moet Hennessy Louis Vuitton SE (EPA:) was down 3.79% or 24.10 points to 611.30.

The top performers on the SBF 120 were Voltalia SA (EPA:) which rose 5.65% to 7.85, Gaztransport et Technigaz SA (EPA:) which was up 3.72% to settle at 139.50 and Technip Energies BV (EPA:) which gained 1.70% to close at 26.34.

The worst performers were Air France KLM SA (EPA:) which was down 5.94% to 7.60 in late trade, Remy Cointreau (EPA:) which lost 5.03% to settle at 54.70 and Kering SA (EPA:) which was down 4.88% to 224.35 at the close.

Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Paris Stock Exchange by 301 to 191 and 103 ended unchanged.

Shares in Technip Energies BV (EPA:) rose to all time highs; gaining 1.70% or 0.44 to 26.34.

The , which measures the implied volatility of CAC 40 options, was unchanged 0.00% to 18.96 a new 52-week high.

Gold Futures for February delivery was down 0.53% or 14.26 to $2,654.74 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in February rose 1.23% or 0.90 to hit $74.03 a barrel, while the March Brent oil contract rose 0.78% or 0.59 to trade at $76.52 a barrel.

EUR/USD was unchanged 0.31% to 1.03, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.01% to 0.83.

The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.37% at 108.81.
