Investing.com – Finland stocks were lower after the close on Tuesday, as losses in the , and sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Helsinki, the fell 1.30% to hit a new 3-months low.
The best performers of the session on the were Sampo Oyj A (HE:), which rose 0.22% or 0.09 points to trade at 40.12 at the close. Meanwhile, Valmet Oyj (HE:) fell 0.27% or 0.06 points to end at 22.19 and Nokia Oyj (HE:) was down 0.40% or 0.02 points to 4.01 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Metsa Board Oyj B (HE:), which fell 3.46% or 0.16 points to trade at 4.35 at the close. Stora Enso Oyj R (HE:) declined 3.40% or 0.33 points to end at 9.26 and Wartsila Oyj Abp (HE:) was down 2.67% or 0.48 points to 17.29.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Helsinki Stock Exchange by 108 to 66 and 13 ended unchanged.
Shares in Metsa Board Oyj B (HE:) fell to 5-year lows; falling 3.46% or 0.16 to 4.35. Shares in Stora Enso Oyj R (HE:) fell to 3-years lows; down 3.40% or 0.33 to 9.26.
Brent oil for February delivery was up 0.29% or 0.21 to $72.69 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in January rose 0.36% or 0.25 to hit $69.19 a barrel, while the February Gold Futures contract rose 0.40% or 10.69 to trade at $2,653.29 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.14% to 1.05, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.05% to 0.84.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.20% at 106.98.
